Last night was amazing I felt like I was transported to 33AD and Jesus was teaching in a rural village (Jesus film was playing). There was a boy having a seizure and I wanted to take him before Jesus for healing. After he recovered he did come to Jesus during the alter call and I was able to stand behind him and lay my hands on his shoulders and pray for him. I do not know if the medication Dan gave him will help his symptoms or if he accepted Jesus as Savior but I will continue to pray for his physical and spiritual well being. His name is Ernesto. -Kevin Walters.
Yet again God has transformed lives in our second medical clinic last night. We showed up to the village we were scheduled to have the clinic in on time, the gate was locked and no one was there. After some investigation it was discovered that the leader of this village decided he didn’t want to allow the clinic due to some "religious" reasons and never even spread the word to the villagers! There was a sense of disappointment, but also hurt as the desire to spread the good news of Jesus Christ is certainly flowing through this team. We contacted another village to see if we could hold the clinic for them and they accepted. The lesson and message was clear even before we began any type of ministry, He has the ultimate plan and knows where he needs us. We just need to be attentive and willing to go. We were welcomed immediately at the alternate village by an elderly woman who was praising God and saying we must have been sent from Heaven. What a welcome, what a blessing. The children were open to us and polite, many connections were formed with them instantly. We didn’t know how many families would even show up as they only had about an hour notice. But again, God knew where we needed to be and more than 50 families ended up coming through. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, many great testimonies were given by team members and Hermano Jesus preached another powerful message even though worn from a long week of ministry. But the end result was yet again a victory for our Lord and Savior as nearly all those that were there came forward and asked Jesus Christ to enter their hearts! There were even some that hung out in the back, but were prompted by the Holy Spirit, and by the love of a team member to speak to Hermano Jesus and Dan just before we left and we had the privilege of praying over them as they sought to enter the Kingdom of God for eternity! Amazing, powerful, life changing. I believe today that this team was assembled as it was because God knew that we could maintain an unified spirit and collectively have the power through the Holy Spirit to reach as many as we have. God has blessed our week of ministry tremendously, he has blessed team members individually and collectively, he has blessed the three villages we had the opportunity to serve in, and I also believe he has blessed those that have followed along with our story on these blogs and will continue to do so through the telling of the amazing life transformation that occurs when you turn yourself over to Him.
We performed our first medical clinic last night to a village of approximately 36 families. It was a long trip there, but our spiritual energy was high from the joy of souls being saved in the previous days. The children were somewhat shy, but that soon faded as the team opened their hearts to them with games and activities. That open door led to nearly the entire village coming forward to invite Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior! It was amazing as there have certainly been villages where there is a struggle to get some to commit their lives, however the Holy Spirit has been with us. Our team has opened their hearts and minds, and God has blessed that. Now we will see many more in the light of eternity! Today we depart around lunch time for our final opportunity to win souls for Him. We will be in a village of approximately 60 families and our prayer is that we would again be filled with His love, joy, energy, and grace. And that the Holy Spirit would again descend upon the village as we offer the greatest gift they will ever see. Please pray with us and for us, and also for team members health as we have had some that have been ill and not able to be a part of the clinic.
Team Life Stream has had an amazing three days in San Ramon. God assembled the perfect team to accomplish his work, not generally but specifically. Specifically for each team member, each home built, and each family member the home was built for. The families were so welcoming almost immediately, and wanted to help as well. They also showed such giving hearts just by offering simple gifts such as limes and lemons. From the time we surrounded the first home and prayer began, the Holy Spirit descended upon us. Immediately there was a peace, a calmness. There was joy in the air, and joy in our hearts when the first family agreed to welcome our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into their hearts! Oh Glorious Day! As we moved to the next three homes, we were increasingly challenged by distraction. But through the power of the Holy Spirit, and through the fervent prayers of the team members hand picked by God himself, all four of the families received the greatest gift they have ever known, the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. It was an amazing victory in an ongoing battle. We left joyous, yet one family was not able to make it to their home to have the gospel presented to them. We pray now that family will get to have the message given to them next week. In prayers of thanksgiving, we asked that these new believers be so filled with the love of Jesus Christ they could do nothing more than share it with others. Their giving spirit was mentioned in a sentence above, but after receiving Christ, some gifts of greater value were given back to some team members. Even an item that represented not having a relationship with Christ was released. These were not eternal things of course, but the sense that God answered our call for them to go and share his love through those acts was evident. They have little, and gave much after receiving Christ. Amen, thank you Father.
